Market growth is great news for everyone

If you’re a regular reader of these weekly Updates you’ll already be aware that we’ve been pretty upbeat about the property market in the bayside suburbs, despite the forecasts of ‘doom and gloom’ that we have been seeing since the pandemic first began to impact the property market.

However, we saw two terrific sets of results this week from different areas of the market that both provided additional reasons for our clients and our team to smile.

Firstly, we had some great news for our team of rental specialists and our landlords when our Property Management Department was recognised at the Barry Plant network’s annual awards night, winning an award for growth in a year when so many of our competitors were struggling with a market downturn. It was terrific to see our small group of hard-working Property Managers being acknowledged as market leaders in such a large and successful network.

The other result that would have pleased so many property owners was published on the back page of this weekend’s Realestate lift-out in the Herald-Sun. In case you missed it, our network was able to confirm that in the month of October this year, we were able to achieve 815 successful property sales for happy vendors. That was despite the restrictions that were impacting on the way we did our job throughout the month, and the negativity that so many sections of the media were pushing throughout that period.

Whilst that number is certainly a pleasing one for everyone with an interest in the real estate market, what was even more interesting was the fact that this was the same number of sales that our group achieved in the same month in 2019! This demonstrates that the market is recovering strongly, particularly when you realise that our group’s auction success rate is around the 80% mark and that so many of our vendors are achieving results that are exceeding their expectations.

With results like these you may be thinking of selling or leasing your property either now or early in the new year, or may simply be curious about what your property could achieve in the current strong market conditions. Either way, we’re always happy to provide you with up-to-date information, so feel free to call us at Barry Plant Frankston this week on 9781 3100.

Best wishes,
