2022 Kicks off in record-breaking fashion

It seems that the brief tempering we saw in the market in December, when the late flood of new listings created more choice for buyers and a slight easing in clearance rates, has already faded.

Buyer activity in the City of Hume suburbs has been impressively strong over the festive period, with enquiry levels showing real confidence right from the start of January.

This period has seen some very pleasing sales results being achieved for our vendors, including one result that set a new benchmark in ever-popular Attwood.

Some of our more notable recent results were:

Attwood: 68 Ardlie Street. This elegant single-level home of four bedrooms and a study was scheduled to be auctioned in February. However, a couple of Open Houses in December generated such strong interest that our vendors happily agreed to an early sale with the deal being completed at $1.05 million.

Attwood: 57 Haddon Hall Drive. This eye-catching five-bedroom home in the Cambridge Gardens Estate set a new record for a single-level home in Attwood when the lovely family pictured fell in love with the lifestyle it offered, securing their dream home at $1.375 million.

Gladstone Park: 9 Marina Close. A peaceful court location with good access to parks and schools saw this renovated three-bedroom home change hands at a very satisfying $770,000.

Greenvale: 18 Degrees Road. The opportunity to build a new home in the True North Estate proved a popular one, with this titled homesite of around 600sqm securing a strong new year’s sale at $590,000.

Greenvale: 11 Bradford Avenue. Being situated within walking distance of the Greenvale Village shops and the Primary School, this four-bedroom home had plenty to offer a younger family. The SOLD sign went up in the shadows of the new year’s fireworks.
