There is no doubt that last month’s easing of restrictions on property inspections and auctions has had a positive impact on the property market in the City of Hume.

Many of the buyers we are dealing with have been responding positively to the overall increase in the quantity and quality of new listings that have been hitting the market in recent weeks, resulting in strong activity levels in all areas and price ranges…As you can see from this cross-section of recent results:

Attwood: 5 Sinclair Court. This original four-bedroom home with direct access to the Attwood Creek Linear Reserve had everyone talking about the potential for a modern update or renovation. The contracts were soon inked at $770,000.

Attwood: 39 Threadneedle Street. Ideally situated in the sought-after Cambridge Gardens Estate with the park at the end of the street, this immaculate four-bedroom home (pictured) made an immediate impact the moment it hit the internet, with upgrading local families prominent among those wanting to get through the door. It didn’t take long for some productive mid-week negotiations to produce an excellent sale at $1.15 million.

Gladstone Park: 103 Lenoak Street. A versatile three-bedroom floorplan with more-than-expected living space proved a popular offering here, with the contracts being inked prior to auction at $725,000.

Gladstone Park: 24 Wiltshire Road. With both Primary and Secondary schools just a stone’s throw away, this fully renovated four-bedroom home had plenty to offer a young family and was sold during the week through some competitive mid-week negotiations.

Greenvale: 9 Battista Grove. Combining striking contemporary architecture with a peaceful location a stone’s throw from Napoli Park, this intriguing two-storey four-bedroom home was another to generate immediate interest, with the SOLD sign going up at $835,000.

The good news is, with so many buyers still actively involved in the local property market, there is still time to sell before Christmas if you’re quick.
