There’s no doubt that the suburb of Gladstone Park has become a highly sought-after area among Melbourne’s homebuyers in recent times, with large numbers of first-time buyers, investors and upsizers all coming out in droves to try and secure their own little slice of this up-and-coming area.

We saw further evidence of this trend this week, when our team not only achieved another 100% auction success rate for a couple of very happy vendors, but we exceeded expectations by a substantial amount in both cases. The important news for anyone considering selling in this area is that both of our auctions had at least five motivated buyers who missed out and who are very keen to buy as soon as possible, so feel free to give us a call if you’d like to discuss this opportunity.

This week’s auctions included:

5 Inn Court, Gladstone Park: The combination of a child-safe court location and close proximity to both the Primary and Secondary Schools made this four-bedroom home a popular option among numerous young families. So it was no surprise to see multiple bidders pushing hard during the auction, with a young couple winning the day with a strong final bid of $700,000. As you can see from the photo, both vendors and buyers were more than happy with the result. Congratulations to everyone involved.

20 Rylandes Drive, Gladstone Park: This thoughtfully updated triple-fronted three-bedroom home, right in the heart of Gladstone Park, showed the benefit of a tasteful renovation. From its rendered façade to the inclusion of stone benchtops in the Tasmanian Oak kitchen, this was a home that made a strong impression on the many buyers who inspected it during the past few weeks. As a result, we saw a highly competitive auction which produced a very satisfying sale at $710,500.

With the market likely to step up yet another gear with the arrival of the Autumn selling season, now just a matter of a few weeks away, now is an ideal time to be getting the wheels in motion if you would like to achieve a strong sale in this highly competitive market, no matter where you live in the City of Hume.

If you’d like to an obligation-free update on what your property could achieve, or perhaps some well-targeted tips on how to maximise your result in a market where there are multiple buyers for every property for sale, feel free to give us a call at Barry Plant Gladstone Park this week on 9330 1088.

Best wishes,
