There was definitely the scent of Spring in the air this week, with some long-awaited sunshine adding to the atmosphere of a Spring market where many buyers are keen to secure their next home as soon as possible and are prepared to compete in order to make that happen.

In a Spring market that is certainly working for sellers at the moment, our team was able to achieve another 100pc auction success rate for our vendors, with a mix of competitive auction bidding and compelling offers prior to auction all contributing to the desired result.

Among this week’s more notable results were:

Attwood: 12 Alanbrae Terrace

Offering the flexibility of five bedrooms and a preferred position in the ever popular Alanbrae Estate, this good looking double-storey home had plenty to offer a growing family, and attracted the interest of a good number of local residents keen to upgrade. So strong was the interest, in fact, that the vendors decided to accept a convincing early offer of $820,000 rather than wait for this weekend’s scheduled auction.

Attwood: 68 Alanbrae Terrace

Situated just down the street from the property above, this was another property that held appeal for larger families. Whilst very comfortable as is, this property also had scope for future updates as well as featuring an inground swimming pool for the coming Summer. Having been on the market for several months without success, the decision to auction with the Barry Plant team in Gladstone Park proved a productive one, with the gavel falling at a very pleasing $775,000. As you can see in the photo above, both vendors and purchasers seemed very happy with the result.

Mickleham: 16 Brabourne Street

Situated in one of Mickleham’s up and coming new estates, this newly completed four-bedroom single-level home attracted the attention of a mix of first home buyers and downsizers. The decision to utilize professional home styling as part of the campaign proved a wise one, with the SOLD sign going up promptly at $580,000.

If you don’t want to miss out on the opportunities that the Spring market is currently providing local homeowners, feel free to give us a call at Barry Plant Gladstone Park this week on 9330 1088.
