Big numbers producing big results.

As we suggested in last week’s Update, we saw the property market in the City of Hume go from a lockdown-enforced ‘mini break’ to a flood of frantic activity in the space of 24 hours this week.

The phones started ringing and the email enquiries started landing in our in-boxes from the first thing on Thursday, and they haven’t stopped since. This has resulted in some big buyer numbers at our Open Houses, and some terrific sales results for happy vendors.

A prime example of this involved this week’s auction of a stately double-storey family home in the heart of Greenvale’s popular Shannon Rise Estate. Set at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, 19 Langbourne Court had several features which really struck a chord with buyers.

Offering a real sense of personal privacy, this impressive home offered four bedrooms and a study, complemented by two bathrooms. Whilst the flexible living and entertaining areas extended from three separate zones on the ground floor to an additional retreat area upstairs. The kitchen was also a popular feature, with a wide stone island bench with waterfall edges being enhanced by an impressive 1200mm Falcon upright cooker and rangehood to match.

Outdoors, two large patio areas took advantage of the lush garden setting, whilst behind the double garage an additional enclosed space offered possibilities as a rumpus/games area or perhaps additional accommodation or a home office in the future.

Clearly this was a popular combination as, despite the interruption last weekend, Saturday’s auction produced an outstanding sale at $775,000. As you can see from the photo, the result which was overseen by Michael Sassine produced smiles all round.

With some excellent new property listings set to hit the market next week, there is every reason to be feeling positive as we head towards the final days of this busy Summer market, so feel free to give the team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park a call on 9330 1088 if we can be of assistance.

Cheers,
