Big results continue despite restrictions

Perhaps it’s all the practice our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park has had over the past year or so, but the past week or two has shown that it is entirely possible to achieve terrific sales results for our clients even in the midst of a lockdown.

As we have reported on several occasions before, buyer demand for property in the City of Hume has remained at extremely high levels since the start of the year, and my team has been reporting that enquiry levels have been very bullish despite the restrictions this week.

In fact, as you may have seen in the Realestate lift-out in Saturday’s Herald-Sun (pictured), the Barry Plant network has been achieving outstanding sales results for our vendors throughout the past few months, averaging more than 1,000 property sales per month throughout Autumn. With no signs of a drop-off in buyer activity this week, it seems that anyone selling in the next month or two is in for an extremely hot Winter indeed.

We saw a classic example of what is possible in the midst of a lockdown during the week when a superb double-storey four-bedroom home in Maddingley Road, Attwood achieved a terrific sale prior to this weekend’s scheduled auction.

Despite all the restrictions on physical inspections and face-to-face meetings, Ghizlaine Digby was able to thrill her vendors of this eye-catching home by negotiating an impressive pre-auction sale at $1.015 million. You may have even come across the vendor’s response of social media during the week as they were certainly excited about the result!

With such strong enquiry levels this week you’ll need to be prepared for the market to hit the ground running as soon as the end of the restrictions are announced, so if you need any advice or assistance on making your property dreams a reality, be sure to give us a call at Barry Plant Gladstone Park on 9330 1088.

Best wishes,

Nick Pugliese – Director
