As we touched on in last month’s Rental Market Report, the members of our team had the opportunity to take part in the Barry Plant Property Management ‘Think Tank’ Conference during August. This annual event enables Property Managers from across the multi-state Barry Plant network to come together for a day of networking and updating on the latest innovations and new technology to ensure that our clients are always kept up to date with market leading best practice.

Given the professional credentials of those attending, it was a big thrill to see our own Sosan Brown who was presented with a ‘Property Management Recognition Award for her commitment to outstanding customer service to our clients.

On a broader scale, the recent run of positive for local property investors has continued, with the overall market continuing to show signs of an upturn. Melbourne’s auction clearance rate hit its highest level for close to two years in August, whilst market data from Corelogic is suggesting that Melbourne’s property values appear to have been rising slowly for the past few months.
