The fact that our team has been able to achieve several outstanding sales this week, despite all the challenges of another last-minute lockdown deadline, shows just how strong the property market is in the City of Hume and surrounding suburbs.

When you add in the fact that these results ranged from the first home buyer market through to around the $3 million mark, it gives you an indication of just how broad the level of buyer demand is.

A cross-section of our recent results includes:

Gladstone Park: A high level of convenience was one of the key attractions for buyers interested in this renovated three-bedroom home (pictured), with Gladstone Park Shopping Centre and the Secondary College both just around the corner. As a result, the SOLD sign went up well before this week’s scheduled auction at a very pleasing $820,000.

Airport West: An innovative digital marketing campaign incorporating social media certainly did its job for the vendors of this elevated four-bedroom home near the Steele Creek Reserve. Five bidders registered for the online auction, pushing the price more than 20 per cent above the reserve before the gavel fell at $1.14 million!

Keilor East: The Valley Lake Estate has proven its buyer appeal many times, but the sale of this architectural showpiece has certainly got the locals talking! Using our unique Sale by Set Date® methodology, this striking five-bedroom home with a pool attracted such strong interest that five buyers put up their hands for the keys well before the scheduled closing date for offers. The result was a terrific sale at just under the $3 million mark…so if you are in the area and considering selling, keep in mind that we have four other highly motivated buyers who are anxious to purchase in the area.

Niddrie: 40 Newman Road. The chance to be the first family to call this brand new single-level four-bedroom haven “home” proved a popular one. Beautifully finished throughout, the online was another to see the bidding soaring beyond all expectations, with the contracts being inked at an impressive $1.921 million.

Don’t forget, no matter what is happening lockdown-wise, the start of the Spring market is only a matter of weeks away, meaning now is the time to start your preparations so you can hit the ground running as soon as conditions allow.

If you need any assistance or an update on how much your property could achieve in the current hot market conditions, give us a call this week at Barry Plant Gladstone Park on 9330 1088.
