The past year has certainly been one that surprised quite a few with the resilience of the local property market, so you might not be surprised to learn that whilst our office doors have been closed for a few days so that our team could take a brief but well-earned break, some of the home buyers in the City of Hume have remained active, even in the days either side of Christmas.

We can report that several property sales were concluded over this period, both at our twilight auctions which we held just before Christmas and through some highly competitive one-on-one negotiations.

Among our most recent results were:

Greenvale: 79 Clare Boulevard. Situated within strolling distance of both Yuroke Creek Reserve and the reservoir, this well proportioned four-bedroom single-level home saw the contracts inked at $1.11 million.

Greenvale: 77 Hillview Road. Auctioned just before Santa was due to arrive, this Hampton’s-inspired five-bedroom double-storey home produced a competitive bidding duel that saw the vendor’s reserve price exceeded when the gavel fell at $1.32 million. As you can see from the photo, both buyers and sellers were more than pleased with the result.

Westmeadows: 12 Arjay Court. Nestled in an elevated cul-de-sac close to Westmeadows Village, this three-bedroom home saw negotiations successfully concluded in the week prior to the break.

Results like these confirm a very positive outlook for any local homeowners who may be considering selling in 2023, particularly when the early part of the new year is likely to see a shortage of available properties for sale to meet this strong ongoing demand.

So if you would like an update on what your property could achieve in the current climate, or you are just interested in finding out what the coming year may hold for homeowners in the City of Hume, the offices of Barry Plant Gladstone Park will reopen and be ready to assist you from Tuesday, January 3rd. Don’t hesitate to give us a call on 9330 1088.
