There may be a few aspiring homebuyers around the City of Hume at the moment who are finding their attention divided between Open Houses and the Spring Racing Carnival, but based on recent activity in our area a large percentage of them are prioritising the search for their next home, particularly with the end of the year getting closer with the passing of each week.

One thing that is very clear is the demand for homes in Greenvale, as our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park has been achieving some outstanding sales results in this pocket in recent weeks.

One recent example involved the sale of a striking double-storey four-bedroom home in Laramie Street (pictured), which made a real impact from the moment it hit the market. A spacious floorplan which emphasised indoor-outdoor entertaining and a family-friendly location with good access to Greenvale Recreation reserve, Aitken College and the shops in Greenvale Village attracted strong interest, with competitive negotiations producing a very satisfying sale at just under $1.2 million during the week.

A generous allotment of around 872sqm in a quiet but convenient court location had a strong impact in the recent sale of a four-bedroom single-level home in Birtley Court as well. Being within a short walk of Greenvale Primary School and Greenvale Shopping Centre, this one soon saw the SOLD sign going up at $800,000.

Of course, as many current residents of Greenvale would know, we’ve also seen other pleasing results in Lynton Court, Candy Road, Steinbeck Street and Posy Street in recent weeks, just to name a few, so the signs are clearly very positive if you are considering selling in this area before the end of the year.

Just keep in mind, as we have pointed out in a couple of recent posts, that time is becoming the critical factor for anyone still wanting to sell a property in the City of Hume in 2023. So if you’d like to discuss your options, why not give our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park a call this week on 9330 1088.

Best wishes,
