Buyers beating the new year deadline

The clock is running for the end-of-year break, but as you can see from our latest results, there were clearly still a substantial number of homebuyers in and around the City of Hume who were keen to lock in their next home in 2023, rather than waiting to see what 2024 might bring.

As you can see from the cross-section of recent sales, many buyers weren’t keen to wait until the scheduled auction date to take action, with several strong pre-auction sales being completed this December.

They included:

Attwood: 17 Innkeepers Way. With Victorian-inspired styling enhancing a two-storey floorplan of four bedrooms and two bathrooms, this eye-catching family home saw the keys change hands at $910,000 more than a week before this week’s scheduled auction

Attwood: 14 Mitchell Court. As we mentioned in an earlier post, this four-bedroom home made the most of a quiet tree-lined court setting surrounded by parkland. The strong appeal produced an excellent sale at $1.05 million well before this week’s scheduled auction.

Glenroy: 56 Gladstone Parade. Utilising our unique Sale by Set Date® approach, this modern four-bedroom, three-bathroom home (pictured) on the corner of William Street sold well before offers were due to close, achieving $950,000.

Westmeadows: 5/21 Turner Street. Combining modern styling with a convenient location close to the village shops and cafes, this two-bedroom townhouse sold produced a strong sale prior to auction, with the contracts being inked at $490,000.

Yarraville: 184 Roberts Street. A competitive bidding duel between three sets of keen buyers saw this updated three-bedroom, two-bathroom timber home across the street from Angliss Reserve sell well above our vendor’s reserve, with the gavel falling at $1.0655 million.
