Despite the recent run of media coverage suggesting that the price growth in Melbourne’s property market might begin to scare some buyers away, it is clear that countless thousands of local homebuyers are committed to securing their next home as soon as possible, rather than potentially paying more in coming months.

This summary of some of our most recent results shows what is happening ‘at ground level’ in the property market in the City of Hume.

Craigieburn: 45 Cascade Terrace. Standing proudly on a corner allotment overlooking the picturesque Highlands Lake Reserve, this eye-catching double-storey four-bedroom home certainly made an immediate impact with its contemporary architecture and its quality fit-out. A well-structured auction campaign came to a head this weekend with the gavel falling at a very satisfying $755,000.

Greenvale: 2 Dellamore Boulevard. One of the last remaining titles homesites in the Providence Estate, this corner allotment of just under 500sqm enjoyed a strong mid-week result, selling for $475,000.

Kalkallo: 26 Sodium Street. Built by the highly regarded team at Nostra Homes in the new Cloverton Estate, this four-bedroom house and land package was yet another example of the strength of the new home market at the moment.

Tullamarine: 2/1 Warwick Place. As you can see from the photo, it was smiles all round as the buyers and vendors celebrated the auction sale of this seven-year-old three-bedroom townhouse in a boutique group of four overlooking parkland. Sales Manager Jason Padula managed the campaign which produced a pleasing $640,000.

Tullamarine: 43 Gordon Street. Potential was the word on the lips of all who visited this three-bedroom home with Tullamarine Primary School around the corner. Interest was so strong that the vendors decided to accept a convincing early offer of $735,000 rather than waiting for this week’s scheduled auction.
