Buyers move early before the break

Whilst some people may have assumed that the long weekend would bring a scaling back of activity in the City of Hume property market, (including some of our competitors apparently), our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park continued to focus on achieving outstanding results for our clients.

As you can see from this small cross-section of recent results, this focus certainly paid dividends for a number of happy vendors, including those who followed our advice to schedule their auctions at the start of the King’s Birthday weekend.

As you can see, every single one of these clients were able to enjoy the long weekend having watched their sold signs go up well before their scheduled auction day!

Greenvale: 14 Rothesay Place. Enjoying an elevated position in this highly regarded cul-de-sac near the Greenvale Drive Linear Trail, this stylishly renovated four-bedroom home with an impressive seven car garage was sold off-market for $1.25 million before any promotion to the wider public was needed.

Tullamarine: 183 Melrose Drive. As we mentioned in a previous post, potential was the word on everyone’s lips when they inspected this three-bedroom home on a prime corner block of around 765sqm. It sold well before this week’s scheduled auction, achieving $901,000.

Westmeadows: 6 Pershore Court. This three-bedroom home was another to achieve a very strong sale well before this week’s scheduled auction. Tucked away in a convenient cul-de-sac with shops and parks around the corner, it attracted interest from several first home buyers and investors before an early offer of $570,000 removed the need for the auction.

As these results confirm, the arrival of the start of Winter has not had any impact on the heat in the buyer demand that we have been reporting in the local property market for several months now.

So if the extra thinking time of the long weekend has had you revising your property plans for 2023, and you’d like an update on just how much more your current home could achieve in the current climate, feel free to give one of our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park a call on 9330 1088 this week.

We’re always happy to assist.

Best wishes,

Bill Karp - Director
