Buyers responding to inspection opportunities

If you’re a regular follower of what’s happening in the property market in the City of Hume, or even just the broader Melbourne market, you will probably already be aware that the easing of lockdown restrictions this week enabled thousands of anxious homebuyers to recommence inspecting the limited number of properties that are currently available for sale in our area.

You may also be aware that there are still a number of restrictions on buyers and renters who wish to look inside those properties. Open Houses are still a no-go in Melbourne, as buyers are required to register with an agent prior to attending the property, and to abide by various limits of numbers visiting the property at any one time.

The good news is that these requirements have clearly not been an issue in the current competitive market, as our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park has been flooded with calls this week from buyers who are keen to get through the door as soon as possible.

This pent-up demand has produced a number of outstanding sales, with one oof the more notable results occurring this week on an elevated four-bedroom home in Arncliffe Boulevard, Greenvale (pictured).

Standing proudly on a generous corner allotment, this property reflected the commitment to quality in its design and inclusions that many owner-built homes are known for, so it was no surprise to see it attracting immediate interest that moment it hit the market.

As a result, our initial low-key ‘Forthcoming Auctions’ very quickly became another of our recent ‘Sold Prior to Auction’ success stories.

Results like these may well have got you considering making a move while buyer demand is stacked so heavily in your favour, (and why wouldn’t you). So it’s worth keeping in mind that the traditional increase in numbers of properties hitting the market as Spring arrives is probably not far away, so the earlier you get you property on the market, the better off you’re likely to be.

If we can be of assistance in any way, don’t hesitate to give our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park a call during the week on 9330 1088.

Best wishes,

Nick Pugliese - Sales Director
