What is clear is that that the majority of homebuyers in the City of Hume have realised that whilst the current environment of higher rates is a short term condition, the longer term attraction of our local property market remains intact.

You’ve only got to look at the fact that every one of our scheduled auctions this week was sold before the day to see how confident homebuyers are in the overall attraction of property ownership in our part of town.

Example 1: A warm and inviting five-bedroom, three-bathroom townhouse in The Crest, Attwood made the most of a sought-after location not far from the Attwood Creek Reserve. Buyers responded positively to the leafy setting and the obvious appeal for entertainers. As a result, competitive negotiations saw the SOLD sign go up at $712,000 well before this week’s scheduled auction.

Example 2: Over in Scottsdale Court, Craigieburn, a modern single-level four-bedroom home with direct rear access to Craigieburn Golf Club had several families excited about the lifestyle benefits a position like this could offer. As a result, a very satisfying sale was completed for our vendors several weeks before the auction gavel was due to be raised.
