Creating your own road map in 2020

The release of the State Government’s ‘Road Map’ not only confirmed the path ahead as we all strive to emerge from the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, but also confirmed that we are still a long way from the point when buying a property will involve familiar activities like physical property inspections, (let alone open houses), or the weekly entertainment provided by public auctions.

In the meantime, it seems that computer screens and digital technology are going to continue to play a key role in the process. However, if you think that this means almost no activity in the property market in the City of Hume, think again.

Consider these facts:

  • During August, when Stage 4 restrictions were very firmly in place, our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park successfully achieved 17 property sales for our vendors.
  • In fact, in the past two weeks alone, the Barry Plant group has sold 185 properties. That’s a total of 370 Victorians who have been able to achieve their goals with our assistance, despite the social isolation rules.
  • During the same two weeks, our group has assisted close to 500 families to complete their scheduled property settlement, despite our office doors being temporarily closed.
  • Perhaps the best news of all for anyone hoping to buy their next home in the near future is the fact that during the past two weeks, our network has completed 728 detailed Virtual Appraisals for property owners, enabling them to plan their next move with clarity and confidence!

This last figure gives me some confidence that there are some impressive new listings that will be hitting the market in a variety of price ranges…that’s positive news for buyers in our area.

The important thing to keep in mind is that, given that some of the lockdown restrictions look like being a part of our lives for several months, many of these vendors may decide to utilise an off-market sales campaign rather than promoting their properties across all of the real estate portals. So, make sure you have registered all of your details and your wanted property features with one of our team to ensure you don’t miss out when your dream home becomes available.

Of course, if you are keen to sell and want to know how our team has been able to achieve all of these great results during the lockdown, you can still reach us via the office on 9330 1088 or call me direct on 0418 889 678.

Cheers,
