With the election getting closer and the implications of the recent rise in official interest rates still being absorbed by many Melbourne residents, some people may have expected the local property market to take a step back for a week or two.

Yet, when you look at it, there is clearly still a substantial level of buyer demand in our part of Melbourne, as this cross-section of recent results shows…

Gladstone Park: 60 Clarke Drive. Our unique Sale by Set Date® methodology produced a very satisfying result on this brand new tri-level residence overlooking parkland. The contracts were inked at $850,000.

Greenvale: 65 Straw Flower Circuit. This four-bedroom home attracted strong interest from a mix of market entrants and investors, with productive mid-week negotiations achieving an excellent sale at $770,000.

Greenvale: 6 McGuire Court. Enjoying a quiet but convenient court position near Greenvale Secondary College, this single-level home of three bedrooms and a study saw the keys change hands after a strong mid-week sale was completed at $870,000.

Greenvale: 94 Frontier Avenue. Situated opposite Napoli Park and offering an impressive façade to go with generous five-bedroom, four-bathroom accommodation, this striking home sold well before the scheduled auction at $1.375 million.

Greenvale: 70 Napoli Circuit.

Tullamarine: 19 Mossfield Mews. The combination of a three-bedroom home and separate self-contained studio proved an appealing one. Productive post-auction negotiations saw this one sold for $770,000 (pictured).

Westmeadows: 1/107 Kenny Street. The rare combination of low maintenance living and a high degree of privacy saw this three-bedroom townhouse sold prior to this week’s scheduled auction. The SOLD sign went up at $626,000.

So if you are considering making a move and are keen to hit the market in the post-election period, (before the worst of the Winter chills make an impact), now is the time to get the wheels in motion. If you’d like to discuss your options, don’t hesitate to give our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park a call this week on 9330 1088.
