There is no doubt that the property market in the City of Hume has always been a popular choice for first home buyers. Our easy access to the City and airport; the wealth of options for shopping, schooling and leisure pursuits; and the friendly community spirit have all played a role in this appeal.

As you will see below, the level of first home buyer confidence in our area remains strong if this week’s sales are any indication. They included:

Our recent sales results included:

Gladstone Park: 9 Jindara Court

Potential was the word on most buyers’ lips as they rolled up to this week’s auction of this entry-level free-standing three-bedroom home within close proximity of the cafes and shops of Gladstone Park Shopping Centre. A productive auction saw a young couple secure the keys to their first home at a very pleasing $567,500, with plans for renovations high on their ‘to-do list’.

Greenvale: 5B Motherwell Avenue

Hot on the heels of last weekend’s auction of its immediate neighbour, our team sprang into action to introduce those buyers who missed out to this brand new four-bedroom town residence which offered an almost identical easy-care lifestyle without any shared land or owner’s corporation. As a result, a strong mid-week sale was soon completed to a very happy first home buyer.

Tullamarine: 13/226 Melrose Drive

Perhaps it was the mobile Barista providing free coffees, but a good-sized crowd turned out to watch the much-anticipated auction of this 15-year-old three-bedroom townhouse with cafes, restaurants and transport all on the doorstep. A lovely young couple (pictured) got their foot in the door of the property market after placing the winning bid of $507,000.

With this level of confidence clearly being reflected in several sales around the City of Hume, the outlook for anyone considering selling, either over the next few weeks or in the new year, seems very promising indeed. So if you would like some assistance in preparing your property for sale, or some guidance on how to plan your launch onto the market, feel free to give us a call at Barry Plant Gladstone Park on 9330 1088.

Best wishes,
