Five out of five despite lockdown

There’s an old saying that “where there’s a will there’s a way”, and it seems fairly appropriate this week as there is clearly a strong will among the home buyers of the City of Hume to secure their next home, despite the restrictions imposed by the current lockdown.

Not only was our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park able to assist five vendors to get their property successfully sold and five buyers to secure their next home in the midst of a lockdown, but these exciting results were achieved through a variety of ways…the oner thing they all had in common was flexibility.

Here’s a summary of this week’s results:

Greenvale: 12 Rappel Street. A virtual auction through the digital window of Zoom saw this single-level four-bedroom home near Destination Park (pictured) sold for a very pleasing $730,000.

Greenvale: 15 Verona Street. Located close to the reservoir and Aitken College, this good looking two-storey home attracted plenty of interest from upgrading local families, with a strong sale at $940,000 being negotiated remotely during the week.

Gladstone Park: 1/91 Carrick Drive. This brand new two-bedroom townhouse drew interest from buyers through each of our offices in Gladstone Park, Keilor East and Essendon, with an online auction producing an excellent sale at $641,000…well above our happy vendor’s expectations.

Westmeadows: 4/7 Pascoe Street. Offered in near-new condition, this three-bedroom townhouse attracted interest from a mix of young families and investors, with a mid-week sale being inked at close to the full asking price.

Westmeadows: 2 Fielders Walk. Abundant car accommodation was one of the features that really struck a chord in this three-bedroom home. Strong early interest saw the SOLD sign go up before this week’s scheduled auction, at $716,000.

Results like these show that anything is possible in the current climate, and with the end of the lockdown hopefully only a matter of days away, (and the official start of Spring only a mater of weeks away), anyone considering selling in 2021 should be getting the wheels in motion right now to ensure you don’t miss the best of the selling conditions.

If you’d like a confidential chat about the best ways to secure an exceptional result, I’d recommend that you give us a call at Barry Plant Gladstone Park during the week on 9330 1088.
