Grassroots activity remains strong
After last week’s report on the strength of activity in the upper end of the market in Greenvale, it was reassuring to see plenty of buyer activity this week among the more traditional grassroots property types in our area.
One classic example of this involved the auction of a potential-filled brick veneer home in Gladstone Park on Saturday.
This particular property comprised four bedrooms and two bathrooms along with a family-friendly combination of formal and informal living zones, and had been proudly maintained by our vendors. While offering a comfortable level of accommodation in its current form, a number of buyers who inspected the property were also excited by the potential for future enhancements later down the track.
Of course, the quiet location close to shops, schools, parks and transport options also added to the appeal.
In the end, the SOLD sign went up at 24 Snaefell Crescent in Gladstone Park (pictured) for a very competitive $692,500, a pleasing result for all concerned.
The fact that as I write this report, our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park currently has other written offers, awaiting final details, on properties in Greenvale, Sunbury and Tullamarine says a lot about the underlying demand for property in the City of Hume.
With this in mind, particularly if you are weighing up whether to make a move yourself in the coming months, you might like an update on how much your own property could achieve in the current market. If so, don’t hesitate to give one of our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park by giving us a call this week on 9330 1088.
Best wishes,
