Greenvale experiencing extra demand

From time to time we see slight swings in the property market in the City of Hume that can make keen market observers stop and raise an eyebrow, and based on our recent results it seems that Greenvale has had an extra spike in buyer interest lately.

Not that we have seen a drop-off in buyer interest in other areas locally, as enquiry rates remain strong all round, but there has definitely been a spate of strong property sales in Greenvale that have certainly got locals talking.

For example, the fact that a striking luxury home in Casablanca Court in Greenvale is already sporting a SOLD sign after a period of just one week on the market, with just one Open House taking place, says a lot about what’s happening at the moment. Mind you, this was no ordinary home, as it was set on just over 2,000sqm of land with a pool and included five bedrooms, six bathrooms and an abundance of car accommodation. However, with over 30 families attending the first open house (pictured), and four of them immediately wanting to make offers on the day, the resultant negotiations took until well into the evening to be resolved, with the deal being completed at $2.65 million!

That wasn’t the full story though, as a four-bedroom home offering a resort-style lifestyle in MacLaughlin Court in Greenvale was also sold around the same time last week. This property was using our unique Sale By Set Date® strategy and sold around three weeks before offers were due to close!

One look at the properties currently available on OUR WEBSITE will show you that we currently have written offers on two other quality homes in Greenvale right now, so you can see the signs of what’s happening in this hot pocket of the City of Hume for yourself.

There is no doubt that the recent stabilisation of property prices across Melbourne, along with the ongoing shortage of available properties for sale, is resulting in some very pleasing sales results for quite a few local sellers. So if you’d like an update on how much your own property could achieve in the current climate, feel free to reach out to our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park by giving us a call this week on 9330 1088.
