We saw a continuation of the positive market conditions in the City of Hume that we’ve been reporting for several weeks now, with several more pleasing sales results being achieved for our happy clients.

This week it seems to have been Greenvale’s turn to enjoy the buyer spotlight, with several notable results.

If you thought that activity from first home buyers may have dropped in response to the interest rate rises by the Reserve Bank, the campaign for a two-bedroom villa unit at 15B Witton Court in Greenvale would have had you thinking again.

Nestled in an established area close to Greenvale Shopping Centre, a range of schools, bus services, childcare, sporting facilities and reserves, this property attracted interest from several market entrants the moment it hit the market. Mind you, the first timers had competition from a mix of downsizers and investors as well, producing a competitive environment that saw the SOLD sign go up quickly after an offer of $420,000 sealed the deal.

In contrast, it was established local families keen on upgrading in the area they were already living in that showed the strongest interest in a striking Porter Davis-built in the Aspect Estate. Offering a total of six bedrooms, the double-storey home at 21 Rappel Street in Greenvale enjoyed close proximity to both Hilltop & Destination Parks, Greenvale Shopping Centre, Keelonith and Greenvale Primary School. Clearly this one offered plenty of benefits for a growing family, and productive mid-week negotiations saw the keys change hands at $992,000.

With negotiations continuing on several other opportunities across the City of Hume, it seems that the Autumn property market in our part of town is performing as expected.

So if you are considering making a move in 2023 and would like some advice or assistance from people who really know and understand the local market conditions, feel free to give us a call this week at Barry Plant Gladstone Park on 9330 1088.

We’d be more than happy to assist.

Cheers,
