A hot start to Summer sales

As many of our regular readers will know, I’ve been talking about the strength of the property market in the City of Hume quite a bit recently, particularly since the State Government began easing the restrictions on property inspections.

As recently as last week I was forecasting that the summer property market in our area looked set to be a hot one, so it wasn’t surprising to see such strong buyer activity this week as we transitioned from Spring to Summer.

Here’s a summary of some of our recent results:

Attwood: 18 Tattenham Court. The opportunity to secure a vacant homesite of over 1000sqm in the Cambridge Gardens Estate is rare, so it didn’t take long for this one to snapped up at $610,000.

Attwood: 65 Stonebridge Way. Enjoying tranquil parkland views from its elevated position in Alanbrae, this versatile five-bedroom home was purchased for $769,500 by a young family (pictured) who had just successfully sold their Craigieburn home through us. Here’s the details…

Craigieburn: 6 Beckington Place. A highly competitive auction of this three-bedroom clinker brick home saw bidding continue well after the home was declared ‘on the market’ at $580,000, selling for a very satisfying $637,000.

Gladstone Park: 29 Aylesbury Crescent. Tuesday’s twilight auction of this three-bedroom home saw three bidders fighting it out the business end of proceedings, producing an outstanding sale at $620,000 which certainly exceeded recent comparable sales in the area.

Greenvale: 41 Compass Drive. Our recent run of strong results on vacant land continues, with the sale of this 451sqm block in the True North Estate selling for $432,500.

The good news for buyers is that we still have some really exciting properties available for purchase before Santa arrives on the 25th, so if you’re keen to secure your dream home before you sit down to the ham and turkey, you can view our current listings by CLICKING HERE...

In the meantime, if you’d like to talk about the best way to plan a sale of your own property so that you can make the most of the forecasts buyer activity after New Years Day, you can give us a call at Barry Plant Gladstone Park this week on 9330 1088.
