Huge results as we head into Autumn

It’s certainly been a big Summer for local property owners, and that trend continued this week with some huge results being achieved by our team right up until the last few hours of the season.

The good news for anyone planning on selling is that the arrival of Autumn has signalled the start of what has been historically the best time to sell a property in Australia. Given the recent strong performance of our local market, this record seems likely to continue in 2020.

Among our more notable recent results, one that certainly got people talking was this week’s auction of the stunning luxury home at 8 Murray Court in Greenvale, (pictured).

Entered via a sweeping circular driveway that loops around a huge ornamental palm tree, this striking home was nestled on around 2100sqm, (just over half an acre in the old scale).

Offering five bedrooms plus a teenager’s retreat, extensive living and entertaining areas including a superb inground pool, and a kitchen replete with marble and Smeg appliances that certainly made an impact on all who visited this remarkable property. Other features that attracted positive comments from the buyers included the high ceilings that added to the sense of abundant space throughout the home, the extensive use of Japanese Oak…even the intriguing suspended staircase attracted comments.

Following a highly productive campaign, this week’s auction saw spirited competition between highly motivated buyers, resulting in an outstanding sale at $1.65 million. When you consider that sales in this price range are considered a strong result for Greenvale properties on an acre, (twice the land size), it is easy to see why our client was so happy with the result.

As I mentioned earlier, we are now entering a peak period for the Melbourne property market. So if you are considering making a move in the next few months, why not have a chat to the people who have first-hand knowledge of what it takes to achieve a result that really gets the neighbourhood talking.
