If you’ve been out and about in the property market in the City of Hume lately, you’ll probably have noticed the growing signs of a step up in activity levels as we head towards the official start of Spring.

PropTrack is reporting that Melbourne should see its first ‘Super Saturdays’ for several months in coming weeks, with over 1100 auctions scheduled next weekend (August 26th) and more than 1000 auctions scheduled to start the first weekend of September.

Here at Barry Plant Gladstone Park, our team has certainly been active recently, achieving several outstanding results for our vendors through auction campaigns and a variety of negotiation scenarios. These included:

Craigieburn: 14 Gossia Avenue. Originally schedule for auction this weekend, this modern three-bedroom, two-bathroom home in the popular Highlands Estate enjoyed a strong early sale at $625,000, several weeks before the gavel was due to fall.

Greenvale: 15 Palmaston Drive. Featuring the strategic use of curved walls to emphasise a point of difference, this near new four-bedroom single-level home achieved a very pleasing sale during the week at $882,500.

Greenvale: 15 Greenhaven Drive. Located a stone’s throw from Greenhaven Park in the Umbra Estate, this two-storey four-bedroom home had been pencilled in for an auction, but strong early interest saw the SOLD sign go up during the week.

Tullamarine: 7 Banksia Grove. As we mentioned last week, the rare opportunity to secure three separate two-bedroom units on one title of around 954sqm proved a tempting one. As you can see from the photo, it was smiles all round when the contracts were inked at $1.15 million.

If results like these have got you curious about what your own property could achieve with the benefit of carefully managed buyer competition, you can give our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park a call this week on 9330 1088.

Cheers,

Bill Karp - Director
