Local market continues to gain attention
If you’re a regular reader of these weekly Market Updates, you’ll probably already be aware that we have been reporting that the property market in the City of Hume has continued to demonstrate a pleasing level of underlying buyer demand despite the negativity being portrayed in some sections of the media.
It’s not just us saying it, as you may have noticed if you happened to catch the article by Scott Carbines on page 25 of Saturday’s Herald-Sun, (pictured).
This article pointed out that the City of Hume is being touted as one of Melbourne’s best places to buy, having been identified in Terry Ryder’s latest Spring Price Predictor. Mr Ryder is one of Australia’s most widely quoted forecasters on the residential property market and is known for his ‘Hotspotting’ price forecasts for investors.
In the article, “Using this formula, the City of Hume was one of the Top 10 municipalities in the country, with rising sales volumes a proven precursor to rising prices.” He also noted that our area was one where “prices were holding up really well.”
