Many of our readers will probably already be aware that history shows the Autumn property market has always been an active time in the Melbourne property market. So with the official change of seasons now just a matter of days away, it’s worth noting that all of the signs we are seeing at the moment are suggesting that the next few months look like being a particularly busy time for buyers and sellers alike.

As we have pointed out before, one sure sign of the strength of buyer demand in the City of Hume at the moment is the number of properties that have been selling prior to their scheduled auction day.

This trend has been noticeable for a while now, but the fact that more of this week’s scheduled auctions were sold prior than on the day shows that buyers are still keen to act early and decisively when they find the right property.

One example of the push for an early result could be seen in the sale of a two-bedroom brick unit in Riddell Street, Westmeadows which was sold for $440,000 during the week. Tucked away at the rear of a boutique group of three, and boasting close proximity to parkland in a quiet cul-de-sac location, this low maintenance home attracted such strong early interest that our vendors decided to move on immediately rather than waiting for this week’s scheduled auction.

It was a similar situation with the three-bedroom home in Burgess Close, Gladstone Park. Being within walking distance of the Shopping Centre and schools, this renovation-ready home attracted strong interest from young families, with the SOLD sticker going up during the week.

The good news for those still looking for a home in our area is that we have some exciting opportunities coming up this Autumn. You can view all of the details by CLICKING HERE...
