More big results despite the chill

There may have been a few more woolly jumpers, thick coats and warm scarves visible around the City of Hume this week as the temperature took a bit of a drop, but that clearly didn’t discourage the homebuyers from doing exactly what they’ve been doing all year…competing hard and going the extra mile to try and secure their next home.

As a result, the team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park was able to secure several more exciting results for our vendors this week, both through auction and competitive mid-week negotiations.

Among the more notable results this week were:

Attwood: 4 Blacksmith Drive. The value of professional post-auction negotiations was clearly demonstrated with this four-bedroom home selling on Monday for a very satisfying $920,000.

Gladstone Park: 74A Clarke Drive. Due to the strong early interest, the auction of this newly built three-bedroom semi-detached town residence was brought forward to this week (pictured). As a result, the remarkable sale at $900,000 set a new price record for this type of property in Gladstone Park, exceeding the reserve by 15 per cent!

Greenvale: 12 Palmyra Street. Being handy to Greenvale Shopping Centre, this brand new three-bedroom home attracted plenty of interest from young families looking for an extra level of convenience. Five bidders pushed the price to $652,000, with a first home buyer securing the keys.

Greenvale: 20 Clare Boulevard. Situated in the Shannon Rise Estate, one of Greenvale’s earliest land releases, this elevated four-bedroom home sold during the week, achieving an excellent result well in excess of the reserve.

Westmeadows: 35 Kenny Street. A quick and effective off-market campaign saw the sold sticker go up during the week on this entry-level three-bedroom home at $550,000.

With the property market in the City of Hume clearly getting hotter as the temperature drops, it’s a great time to be maximising the sale price of your own home. If you’re interested in finding out how much more your property could achieve in today’s market, give us a call us this week at Barry Plant Gladstone Park this week on 9330 1088.

Remember, we’re here to help.

Best wishes,
