Positive news for local buyers

If you’ve been reading the media coverage of the Melbourne property market recently, particularly if you’re trying to buy your next home, you may well be feeling just a little disheartened and frustrated.

As I have pointed out in these posts several times in the past few months, the simple fact is that we are currently in a market where there is an oversupply of people wanting to purchase their next home, and a shortage of available properties for sale. The inevitable result is increased competition between buyers, rising prices and numerous families missing out on a weekly basis.

However, in a move that may be a sign of improving times for buyers, or simply a one-off glimpse of sunshine through the clouds, I am happy to advise that the coming week looks like being a really positive time for homebuyers in the City of Hume, as our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park have around ten exciting new listings set to hit the market in the coming days.

Importantly, these new listings cover a wide range of differing tastes and price ranges, from some terrific opportunities for first home buyers right through to some really impressive offerings at the luxury end of the market, and everything in between.

Based on what we’ve been seeing in the local market this year, there is every chance that several of these new listings will have SOLD signs out the front by the time I sit down to write my market Update next weekend, so I would urge all those frustrated buyers to ensure that they keep a close eye on our website to watch for new listings, and to stay in touch with our sales team for information on which upcoming property listings might best suit your needs. You may even be able to arrange an early inspection before the first Open Houses are scheduled.

Don’t forget, the team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park is here to help you if we can, so don’t hesitate to give us a call on 9330 1088 if you feel we may be able to assist.

Cheers,

Nick Pugliese – Director
