Record-breaking April finishes with a bang

We had further confirmation of the strength of the property market in the City of Hume this week, with the numbers from April confirming that our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park had set a new sales record for the month.

In fact, the past month finished a total of 35% ahead of the same month last year, which just shows how well our vendors are doing despite the current shortage of available properties for sale.

Of course, on top of some outstanding sales in the last few days of the month, we also saw some outstanding results on the first day of May, so it was smiles round for a number of buyers and sellers. These results included:

2/22 Greenvale Drive, Greenvale. Situated within a stone’s throw of Greenvale Shopping Centre, this modern three-bedroom townhouse attracted strong interest from a mix of aspiring first home buyers, young families and local investors. In the end, a first-time buyer won the day with a strong bid of $630,000. As you can see from the photo, all parties seemed more than happy with the result.

58 Dorrington Street, Greenvale. Making the most of an outlook over the reserve across the street, this low maintenance three-bedroom home generated such strong interest that the SOLD sign went up prior to this week’s scheduled auction.

13 Verona Street, Greenvale. The auction of this sleek single-level four-bedroom home in the Providence Estate wasn’t scheduled for a few weeks, but after just three open houses a huge pre-auction offer of $830,000, (around 10% above expectations), sealed the deal.

39 Eyre Street, Westmeadows. With the Primary School just a few streets away in one direction and the wide-open spaces of Ripplebrook Reserve similarly handy in the other, this neat three-bedroom home had plenty to offer young families. A very satisfying mid-week sale was the inevitable result.

Will May be the month you’ve been waiting for? If you are currently thinking of making a move, and keen to find out about the best ways to maximise your result, the team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park are happy to provide you with obligation-free advice and assistance. You can give us a call this week on 9330 1088.
