Personal safety and security have certainly been the watchword this week as we all come to terms with the new requirements to deal with the current pandemic.

With our team now working remotely and the office only opening by appointment, our team has been fully armed with sanitisers and gloves for property inspections, whilst everything from auction bidding and property tours have been taking place online for many people.

Indeed, we are even offering local homeowners the option of a ‘virtual property appraisal’ which can utilise digital photos and floorplans or even a facetime tour! The important thing to keep in mind is that we are putting our clients’ safety first in every aspect of our property dealings, Hopefully, these efforts will play a part in ensuring that life gets back to normal for all of us as soon as possible.

In the meantime, the good news for buyers is that the new listings are continuing to hit the market, (we saw some rippers launched this week!), and the good news for sellers is that sales are continuing to be made at very respectable prices. Here’s a summary of this week’s activity:

Gladstone Park: 60 South Circular Road

Our second sale in this street inside a week, this potential-packed four-bedroom home was scheduled for auction, but early interest produced a pleasing sale at $600,000.

Gladstone Park: 17 Osborne Avenue

This four-bedroom home was another property that had been scheduled for auction, but a change of plans clearly didn’t impact on the result with an outstanding early sale being completed at $665,000. As you can see from the photo, celebrations were still conducted with appropriate social distancing!

Greenvale: 21 Verona Street

The opportunity to secure a prominent corner homesite among quality homes in the Providence Estate proved a popular one, with an early sale being negotiated at $481,500.

Greenvale: 17 Piccadilly Court

Positioned in the popular precinct just off Normanby Drive, this recently updated four-bedroom home with serene valley views saw the sold sign go up after a strong sale was negotiated at $965,000.

Mickleham: 88 Turion Drive

Just two years young and featuring a modern single-level floorplan of four bedrooms and two bathrooms, this conveniently positioned family home exceeded all expectations in selling for $580,000.

Westmeadows: 2 Patho Court

This well maintained three-bedroom home on the corner of the court promised excellent outdoor entertaining for the new owners. A quick sale at $552,000 exceeded all expectations.

Whilst none of us can be 100% sure of what the next few weeks may bring, you can be sure that experienced advice on any real estate matter is just a phone call away. So don’t hesitate to give us a call at Barry Plant Gladstone Park if you have any questions on 9330 1088.

In the meantime, stay safe.
