As many of our regular readers will know, we’ve been reporting on the growing signs of market confidence in the City of Hume for most of 2019. We’ve seen new record prices being set, amazing competition at many of our auctions, and some really positive feedback from buyers on what they see happening in the market this year.

However, if you needed any further confirmation of the growing market confidence in recent months, you only had to see what has been happening around our sales team in the past week alone. This week’s activity included:

  • Our mid-week auction of a stunning Georgian-inspired 4-bedroom home in Willowbank Way in Attwood (pictured) produced an outstanding sale at $858,000. Set in a quiet cul-de-sac in the Alanbrae Estate and boasting high quality finish and a sparkling pool, this auction was moved forward due to strong buyer interest, and the strong bidding in the twilight confirmed the high level of interest we expected.
  • Those who thought that market confidence in the investment sector had diminished will be interested to know that our listing of a low-rise apartment building comprising six flats being sold on one title in First Street, Footscray West attracted a huge amount of inquiry from motivated investors. In fact, our team conducted over 40 separate buyer inspections in the first week of its campaign, resulting in a sale price of $1,515,000 which was well above expectations!
  • The release onto the market of an unusual 4-bedroom home in Wolverton Drive, Gladstone Park this week resulted in close to 50 separate buyer inspections during its first two Open Houses.
  • Like the example above, a smaller 3-bedroom home in Gladstone Park that will please one lucky first home buyer also saw its first two Open Houses this week, with close to 40 separate buyer inspections!

Make no mistake, if all the negativity in some sections of the media results in you putting off your next move, you are going to end up missing out on an opportunity where genuine market confidence could produce an outstanding result.
