Sometimes the best auctions are not auctions
If you follow the property market in the City of Hume closely, particularly if you have followed the results our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park have been achieving for our vendors in 2019, you’ll know that determined competition between motivated buyers at an auction can produce some exciting results for the seller.
However, there are also times where strong early interest from determined buyers can also produce an outstanding sale for a vendor, without having to wait for the auction itself. We saw a classic example of this during the week, and it provided a timely reminder of the importance of having an agent with the experience and market insight to know when a vendor’s best interests are served by negotiating early rather than waiting for auction day.
The property in question was a lovely six-year-old home in Flourish Circuit, Greenvale. Offering four bedrooms, a convenient position close to parks, schools and the reservoir, and excellent alfresco entertaining, this home attracted interest from several young families looking to upgrade.
As I mentioned earlier, this property was set to be auctioned next weekend, but the experience of our Sales Consultant, Ghizlaine Digby, shone through with an outstanding sale being completed during the week at $700,000.
As you can see from the photo, everyone involved in the sale seemed very happy with the result. However, perhaps the best way to put this sale in context is to share the words of the vendor themselves. They wrote:
