The weather may have provided a true Melbourne-style ‘mixed bag’ this week, but the good news for property owners across the City of Hume is that the demand for property in our area remains solid, despite the approach of the festive season.

Indeed, our team saw as many as six separate bidders competing for the one property at this week’s auctions, with our most recent results including:

Attwood: 14 Mitchell Court. Enjoying a quiet tree-lined court setting surrounded by parkland, this four-bedroom home sold well before its scheduled auction for $1.05 million.

Broadmeadows: 197 Widford Street. This potential-packed home in the heart of Broadmeadows was another to achieve an early pre-action result when a strong sale was negotiated during the week.

Fawkner: 14 Shaw Street. Productive negotiations immediately after the auction saw this potential-filled four-bedroom home sold for $735,000.

Greenvale: 159 Greenvale Drive. Set high in one of Greenvale’s more established pockets, this three-bedroom home was sold well before this week’s scheduled auction for $800,000.

Greenvale: 13 Lunar Drive. This striking-looking four-bedroom home was another to benefit from competitive negotiations immediately after the auction, with the contracts inked at $885,000.

Greenvale: 56 Section Road. Intriguingly positioned on a corner block opposite Woodlands Historic Park, this ‘as-new’ five-bedroom home was sold during the week for $1.26 million.

Greenvale: 97 Normanby Drive. Standing proudly on around 2095sqm of land, (over half an acre in the old scale), this substantial five bedroom home achieved an impressive early sale above $1.7 million (pictured).

Clearly, there is still strong demand for good real estate at this time of year. The good news if you’re a keen buyer is that there are still opportunities to purchase good property before the end of the year, including some exciting auctions coming up in the next week or so.
