In case you missed it, Domain reported this week that the auction clearance rate in May came in at 70.2 per cent, the first time this statistic had been above 70 per cent since October 2021. Of course, if you follow our social media channels, you’ll probably already be aware that the Barry Plant network records a success rate more than 10 per cent higher than that in May.

However, as we mentioned earlier, auctions are only part of the story.

Yes, the fact that our team in Gladstone Park recorded another 100 per cent success rate this weekend was certainly satisfying, but it’s worth noting that off-market activity levels in the local market are also achieving outstanding results for many of our vendors, so there are clearly many roads to the one goal if you’re prepared to think outside the square.

Here’s a couple of examples to prove the point.

Over in Craigieburn, we auctioned a five-bedroom single-level home in Princetown Avenue, a stone’s throw from Craigieburn South Primary School. This comfortable family home is now under contract after a very productive auction campaign.

Meanwhile, a quiet off-market campaign for a striking four-bedroom home in Ivanhoe Court, Greenvale saw the SOLD sign go up after just one VIP Opening which targeted our extensive database of registered buyers. As you can see from the photo, the buyers were certainly excited to have secured their dream home in such a timely fashion during the week!
