One of the indications of the positive state of the current property market in our local area is the fact that not only are we experiencing enormous levels of demand from buyers, but that demand is expressing itself right across the market for all types of property, in all price ranges and in every corner of the City of Hume.

Two of our recent sales provide an excellent example of this.

On one hand, our team completed the sale of a newly completed four-bedroom home in Durum Way, Mickleham. Situated in a brand-new Estate, this single-level home attracted interest from young families looking to get their foot in the door of the property market, along with more established couples who were keen to downsize from their ‘empty nests’. What was interesting is that this property was sold for a very pleasing $630,000 within two days of it hitting the market!

In contrast to this brand-new home with nothing to be done, our only auction this week involved a much-loved three-bedroom home on a generous 820sqm allotment in Lorraine Crescent, Jacana. A joint marketing project with our colleagues at Barry Plant Glenroy, this property attracted buyers more for its potential than its current condition, with future-focused investors, renovation-ready first home buyers and astute developers all showing interest. A competitive auction saw the SOLD sign go up at $650,000, with various family members who had grown up in the home sharing this exciting moment with the new buyers.

As you can see from the photo, everyone seemed pretty excited about this outstanding result.

Results like these confirm one key message for us all, no matter what type of property you may be thinking of selling in the City of Hume at the moment, there is clearly plenty of buyer demand for it. What’s more, the level of competition between buyers right now could well produce a result that exceeds your highest aspirations. So if you’d like to discuss the best ways to make this happen for you in the coming months, feel free to give our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park a call this week on 9330 1088.

We look forward to having a chat.
