As we mentioned in last week’s Update, there was a fair bit of anticipation among many of the buyers we’ve been dealing with recently to see the auction season for 2020 under way, and they weren’t disappointed.

Not only did our team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley achieve successful sales for all our vendors who auctioned this weekend, but we also saw some outstanding sales being achieved through mid-week negotiations as well.

Among this week’s results were:

Airport West: 2/76-80 Parer Road

This neat two-bedroom townhouse had extra appeal for those who enjoy entertaining outdoors, offering two distinct courtyards at each end of the building. Interest from first home buyers and downsizers was so strong that our vendors decided to accept a strong early offer of $515,000 rather than waiting for this week’s scheduled auction.

Airport West: 84A Halsey Road

Conveniently positioned with easy access to Westfield’s shopping and entertainment precinct, this modern two-bedroom unit enjoyed a pleasing mid-week result, selling for $523,000.

Keilor East: 21 Grantchester Avenue

Offering generous family accommodation close to parks and schools, this five-bedroom home found new owners for a satisfying $770,000.

Keilor East: 5 Anthony Court

The strong visual appeal of its Victorian terrace inspired façade added to the appeal of this three-bedroom home (pictured) on the doorstep of Milleara Shopping Centre. Productive mid-week negotiations saw the SOLD sign go up here at $780,000.

Niddrie: 63A Hoffmans Road

One of just two on the block, this good looking single-level unit provided generous three-bedroom/two-bathroom accommodation where privacy and low maintenance living were equally prominent. An effective auction campaign enhanced by some productive negotiation immediately after the auction produced a very strong sale at $845,000.

Strathmore: 1/5 Dagonet Street

The combination of a sought-after Strathmore address, an eye-catching front façade and quality inclusions made all the difference in this impressive three-bedroom front townhouse. The flexibility of an additional study area and three bathrooms also added to the equation, with the SOLD flag going up at $802,500.

Don’t forget, if you need any advice or assistance on any property matter, we’re only a phone call away. Don’t hesitate to call on our experience at any time on 9319 1700.

Best wishes,
