The first set of numbers came from within our own Barry Plant network and were published on the back cover of the Realestate lift-out in the Herald-Sun on Saturday, (June 6th). In case you missed it, our network recorded an impressive 6397 buyer inspections in the space of just one week during May, confirming just how strong buyer demand is in the current climate.

The second set of data arrived on our desks during the week from realestate.com.au, Australia’s largest real estate portal. Their traffic data shows that searches for properties for sale on their website have been steadily increasing since early April. Not only has search activity steadily increased for the past nine weeks in a row, but activity levels are now up by more than 100 per cent over that period!

This increased confidence among buyers is continuing to produce some excellent sales results in the City of Moonee Valley and surrounding suburbs, including:

Essendon: 1/44 Mackay Street

This warm and inviting single-level villa (pictured) attracted plenty of buyer interest due to its sought-after position close to public transport and walking distance to North Essendon shopping centre, cafes, schools and park. An excellent mid-week sale was soon completed at $720,000.

Kensington: 2/12 Mawbey Street

With walking tracks, cafes and shopping precincts on the doorstep and Kensington village and train station a short walk away, this one-bedroom apartment attracted interest from a mix of investors and market entrants. The sale price of $390,000 was a satisfying conclusion to a productive campaign.

Niddrie: 2/8 Willowtree Crescent

This attractive three-bedroom townhouse offered good scope for entertaining inside and out, as well as easy access to the scenic Steele Creek trails and parklands. Strong interest saw the contracts inked at $678,000.

Niddrie: 2/55 Carrington Road

This single-level two-bedroom villa generated enquiries from buyers at both ends of their property journeys, from first home buyers to local downsizers. Minutes from the popular Keilor Road cafes, shops and trams, this low maintenance haven saw the keys change hands at $717,500.
