Wasn’t it terrific to have some genuine springtime sunshine at last after such wintery start to the season this year! The home buyers of the City of Moonee Valley certainly seems to enjoy it, with some good turnouts to our Open Houses this weekend, along with some very satisfying sales results being achieved for our vendors by the team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley.

Among this week’s stand-out sales results, we saw:

Airport West: 1/7 El Reno Crescent. Standing proudly at the front of a boutique collection of just three townhouses, and situated a stone’s throw from McNamara Avenue Shopping Centre, this stylish 3 bedroom and study, two bathroom residence generated strong interest from the moment it hit the market. Buyers responded positively to the sophisticated custom design which included high ceilings and polished concrete floors. A well targeted auction campaign saw this one sold for $930,000.

Avondale Heights: 225 Military Road. Offering a pleasing low maintenance lifestyle along with an eye-catching front facade, this four-bedroom home on a subdivided block attracted so much early interest from a number of buyers that had registered their preferences on our database that our happy vendors were able to see their SOLD sign go up well before this week’s scheduled auction after a very pleasing seven figure sale.

Brunswick West: 230 Melville Road. This unique Art Deco inspired home offered multiple possibilities for the future, combining an expansive five-bedroom floorplan with Commercial zoning. Productive post-auction negotiations saw the contracts inked at $1.725 million.

Keilor Park: 10 Zagreb Court. A warm and welcoming feel and an emphasis on generous entertaining spaces inside and out proved a popular combination during the auction of this three-bedroom, two-bathroom single-level home tucked away in a quiet Keilor Park cul-de-sac. Competitive bidding took care of the rest, with the gavel falling at $892,500.

As great as these results have been, keep in mind that one third of Spring is now behind us. So if you’re keen to make your next move in the Moonee Valley market while conditions are still so positive, it would be wise to start getting the wheels in motion now rather than getting caught up in a potential logjam later in the year.

To protect your own peace-of-mind, you can give the team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley a call this week on 9319 1700.

Best wishes,

Bill Karp
