The past two years have certainly presented their fair share of challenges for all of us in Melbourne, and one of the biggest of those was the restrictions on what we could do and where we could go.

With this in mind, we hope many of you have been able to spend this Easter weekend catching up with family and friends, whether interstate or just on the other side of town.

If, however, your plan is to relax at home rather than hitting the road, the good news is that our team is still on deck this weekend too, conducting Open Houses on a number of exciting properties for sale this Saturday. So if you’d like to know what we have available for inspection, and at what times, you can follow this link to OUR OPEN HOUSE PAGE.

The approach of Easter didn’t slow activity from buyers during the week, as our team has still been able to put together some outstanding sales results for our clients. Here’s a summary of some of the recent activity:

Airport West: 33 Kingsley Road. Offered for sale for the first time in over 50 years, this three-bedroom benefited from a prime location close to Hansen Reserve and the McNamara shopping precinct. A strong mid-week produced $925,000.

Airport West: 4 Parkview Street. A similarly convenient location enhanced the appeal of this extensively renovated three-bedroom home with a solar heated pool. It was sold the day before the property above for $960,000.

Airport West: 3 Oak Street. Completing an impressive set of three sales in the one week in Airport West, this stylish three-bedroom home made a big impact on buyers with its impressive all-weather alfresco entertaining zone. The contracts were inked at just under $1.1 million.

Essendon: 102/324 Pascoe Vale Road. Enjoying a sought-after northerly aspect from the first floor of in this modern apartment building, a two-bedroom apartment utilised a well-planned Sale by Set Date® strategy and sold well before the closing date for $535,000.

Keilor East: 104 Lincoln Drive. This four-bedroom home with Primary and Secondary schools close by was sold via a quiet off-market campaign which made the most of our extensive database of qualified buyers. The deal was done during the week at $1.18 million.

Maribyrnong: 5A Maireana Street. Nestled within a private riverside pocket of the popular Edgewater Estate, this contemporary three-bedroom townhouse saw the SOLD sign go up last week at a very satisfying $835,000.

On behalf of the team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley, I’d like to wish you and your family all the best for this long weekend and remind you that if you have any questions regarding the property market in the City of Moonee Valley and surrounding suburbs, (whether you are buying, selling or leasing), you can give us a call during the week on 9319 1700.

Cheers,

Bill Karp
