Exciting signs for Moonee Valley home buyers

The news that home buyers and tenants are once again able to physically inspect properties this week was good news for everyone.

The resultant surge in activity that began first thing Monday, however, was particularly good news for all those frustrated buyers, as we are seeing some very positive signs about the quantity and quality of new listings that look set to hit the market in coming weeks.

Don’t get me wrong, the number of phone calls from buyers wanting to inspect properties for sale this week has confirmed what we have been saying for several weeks. There is a substantial level of pent-up demand right now, so anyone considering selling should be able to approach that task with genuine confidence in the current conditions.

All of the signs this week point to what should be a competitive property market in the City of Moonee Valley and surrounding suburbs, producing some excellent sales results in October and November. So, make no mistake, the Spring property market of 2020 will be shorter than usual, but it looks like being just as productive as we’ve seen in past years.

The key message for all those residents of this part of Melbourne is that prompt action is required if you don’t want to miss the boat. October is already here, which means that there may only be nine or ten weeks of prime selling conditions left in the year. After that, the approach of Christmas and the holiday season, (assuming we have a holiday season in this bizarre year), will make things less predictable for sellers.

Of course, if you are heading out to inspect any properties this week, please keep in mind that there are some important rules to help keep you safe. These include the use of sanitizer prior to entering the property, not touching any surfaces, limiting your time in the property to 15 minutes plus only inspecting one-on-one with the agent. So please follow the rules when the time comes.

As I mentioned above, the key factor in achieving your desired result in the current market is not to delay for one day longer. So be sure to give us a call at Barry Plant Moonee Valley this week on 9319 1700.

Cheers,
