Whilst it’s fair to say that some people were a little reluctant to adapt to the digital arena at first, we are now seeing big numbers of buyer registrations for almost all of our online auctions. In fact, one of this week’s auctions had in excess of 200 separate viewers logged in to watch the bidding, which is more than many of the turnouts we used to see when auctions were being conducted onsite, (and the neighbourhood used to call past to see what the market was doing).

Here’s a rundown of some of our most recent results:

Airport West: 1/57 McIntosh Street. Set at the front with its own driveway, this modern three-bedroom townhouse with quality finishes sold for $796,000 after competitive bidding.

Airport West: 39 Harrington Road. This thoughtfully updated four-bedroom home drew interest from a number of upgrading local families, producing a satisfying $1.14 million at auction.

Ascot Vale: 7/1A Sandown Road. This multi-level three-bedroom townhouse featured a bold interior design that clearly appealed to a number of buyers, with the auction producing $810,000.

Essendon: 37A Deakin Street. This stylish single-level four-bedroom timber home (pictured) attracted strong interest from the moment it hit the market, achieving an impressive $1.875 million at the online auction on Monday evening.

Keilor Park: 1/18 Snow Street. In another sign of the strong interest in the property market at the moment, there were over 200 separate viewers watching the online auction of this three-bedroom townhouse, with the gavel falling at $850,000.

Moonee Ponds: 13/40 Young Street. Ideally located with the cafes and eateries of Puckle Street at the doorstep, this two-bedroom apartment saw the keys change hands during the week.

Niddrie: 113A Hoffmans Road. Offered in as-new condition, this contemporary town residence of two bedrooms and a study was quickly snapped up during the week at $782,500.

Niddrie: 36 Teague Street. Situated within strolling distance of several quality schools, this modern three-bedroom town residence sold well before this week’s scheduled auction.

Strathmore: 4 Menarra Street. As we mentioned last week, this meticulously maintained three-bedroom home in the Strathmore College zone sold well before the scheduled auction at $1.515 million.
