Local price data makes interesting reading
Not surprisingly, given the solid results still being achieved by our team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley late in 2023, the reopening of our doors following the short break for the festive season has seen good activity levels in the local property market this week.
That’s certainly a good sign for anyone considering making a move in the early months of 2024.
With this in mind, I thought this would be a good opportunity to look at the latest property price data from PropTrack which looks at what happened over the past twelve months. When you look back at the number of forecasters who were predicting price falls at this time last year, the numbers show just how resilient our local market is.
PropTrack’s data indicates that prices rose in 218 suburbs across Melbourne over the past year, with 50 of them recording rises that outpaced the average Australian income.
