Low maintenance living a popular option

As I sit down to write this week’s Update, I am hoping that many of our readers have been able to put their feet up and relax over this Easter long weekend.

Finding time to chill and enjoy the good things in life with those we care about can certainly be a challenge in this day and age. So it was interesting to look over many of our recent sales results and to notice how many of them offered a genuine lifestyle-enhancing low maintenance emphasis as one of their benefits.

If you look at the selection of recent sales below, they vary from apartments and units to townhouses, but all of them had a ‘/’ in the address and all required minimal maintenance inputs, enabling the now owners to look forward to enjoying more ‘me time’ once they moved in.

Here’s a short overview of some of the recent examples:

Essendon: 11/7 Willow Street. An unusual two-storey floorplan had buyers asking whether this two-bedroom gem was an apartment or a townhouse. Either way, competitive mid-week negotiations saw the SOLD sign go up at $490,000.

Maribyrnong: 302/7 Thomas Holmes Street. Part of the popular Edgewater precinct with easy access to the river and Highpoint, this distinctive two-bedroom, two bathroom apartment sold for $455,000 well before offers were due to close on a successful Sale by Set Date® campaign.

Moonee Ponds: 17/5 Turner Street. Set privately at the rear of the Shelley Gardens development near Moonee Ponds Primary School, this multi-level three-bedroom townhouse produced strong interest from a mix of young families and investors before selling during the week.

Pascoe Vale: 2/566 Pascoe Vale Road. A substantial decked courtyard was one of the attractions of this recently updated one bedroom unit. This was another to achieve an early sale using the Sale by Set Date® approach, with the contracts inked at $278,000.

Of course, our team has also been achieving some outstanding sales on larger allotments as well, confirming the depth and breadth of buyer demand in the City of Moonee Valley and surrounding suburbs.

So if you’d like an update on what your own property could achieve in the current market, why not give me or one of our team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley a call this week on 9319 1700.

In the meantime, I hope you have a great Easter break, and the Easter bunny brings you something delicious.

Best wishes,

Bill Karp
