More buyers emerge as new year dawns
In fact, from the moment our doors reopened on Tuesday, we were receiving calls and email enquiries from buyers keen to view properties for sale, which is another positive sign for anyone considering making a move in the near future.
Importantly, we have seen several enquiries becoming great results for some very happy vendors, including:
Airport West: 50 Etzel Street. One of several pleasing results that kicked off the first week of the new year, this potential-packed home on around 592sqm of land (pictured) near Etzel Street Reserve saw the keys change hands at $860,000.
Avondale Heights: 78 Riviera Road. Quality renovations and a highly regarded location attracted strong interest from several upgrading local families, with the SOLD sign going up just after the new year ticked over.
Essendon: 9/130-132 Hoffmans Road. A real surprise package internally given its unassuming exterior; this three-bedroom townhouse achieved a very pleasing sale at $740,000.
Footscray West: 8/30 Argyle Street. This stylishly renovated two-bedroom villa unit within walking distance of Barkly Village sold early through a Sale by Set Date® campaign, reaping $545,000.
Keilor East: 97A Noga Avenue. Further evidence of the strong buyer interest in off-the-plan upmarket town residences, this Architect-designed four-bedroom stunner which is due for completion in the coming months sold for $1.4 million.
As I mentioned above, activity like this is a positive indicator for anyone considering selling before the year gets too old, particularly when you remember that we are likely to experience a continuance of the shortage of properties for sale that supported property prices for much of last year.
Thus, if you would like an update on what your property could achieve in today’s market, or you are simply curious about the outlook for the coming year, our team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley are ready and able to assist. Feel free to give us a call on 9319 1700.
