An auction for a very worthy cause

However, there was a property sale this weekend that involved a very special auction that, when you look at it, probably couldn’t have been conducted any other way…and that’s something we are all very proud about.

If you’re a regular reader of our facebook page, you may already be aware that the Barry Plant network was asked to assist in a ‘No Reserve’ auction of a brand-new home this week, with the proceeds going to the ‘My Room Children’s Cancer Charity’.

One of the Directors of our Taylors Lakes office, Jim Hatzimoisis, conducted the auction, whilst several staff members from across our network helped out on the day to ensure that this important charity achieved the best possible result.

Credit should go to well-known builders, Metricon Homes, and the creators of the land Estate, Satterley Developments. Between the two businesses, people were able to bid for a new double storey home which will be built in Mickleham’s newest master-planned community, ‘Botanical’.

The auction was part of a great day’s entertainment which took place at Marnong Estate winery in Mickleham. The MC of the day was none other than Channel Nine’s Rebecca Maddern, with several TV and AFL stars in attendance and lots of free giveaways and children’s activities.
