Four out of four to finish June
If you’ve been following our strong run of recent auction results, and our ongoing advice about the benefits of selling a property in the current Winter market, then it will probably not come as a surprise to you that our team at Barry Plant Preston finished off June with another big week of auctions.
Yes, all four of this week’s June auctions were successfully sold, giving our vendors yet another 100% auction success rate to finish off the financial year!
This week’s auctions included:
1/465 Murray Road, Preston
This immaculately maintained 2-bedroom villa with a generous courtyard garden appealed to first home buyers, investors and downsizers alike. A short walk from the shops and trams on Gilbert Road, it attracted six active bidders who pushed the price well beyond our happy vendor’s reserve before settling at a very strong $643,000!
2/7 Bartlett Street, Preston
Providing an affordable entry to the property market in the inner-north, this bright 2-bedroom unit had first home buyers looking over their shoulders hoping their landlords weren’t in the same crowd. The end result was a very pleasing sale at $410,000.
133C Bruce Street, Preston
Brand new and offering a fresh modern feel in contemporary low-maintenance living, this 2-bedroom townhouse with its own street frontage (pictured) offered the added bonus of having no owner’s corporation fees. This certainly seemed to strike a chord with several buyers, as five bidders fought it out despite the chilly weather. A sale at $775,000 was the end result of a spirited auction.
28 Mount Street, Preston
Located on a corner site in an attractive residential street with Bell Street at one end and the Gilbert Road trams around the corner, this brand-new double-storey 3-bedroom home offered quality finishes, clean-cut architectural styling and stylish indoor/outdoor entertaining areas. Three strong bidders took the price to an impressive $965,000.
As we have said several times recently in these posts, the current lack of available stock is increasing competition between buyers and creating some great results for sellers. So if you would a confidential chat about whether your property might be suited to a winter sale, feel free to give us a call.
