The Inner-North is flying!
Having achieved yet another 100% auction success rate for our vendors this week, it’s clear that the property market in the inner-north of Melbourne is still enjoying the benefits of strong buyer demand.
Indeed, with this week’s sales results covering such a wide variety of property types, it seems that anyone considering selling early in the coming new year should be able to approach this task with a genuine sense of optimism.
Among this week’s exciting results were:
Preston: 10B Cormac Street
This eye-catching brand-new architect-designed two-storey home (pictured) presented an opportunity to secure a low-maintenance contemporary residence just south of Bell Street, with parks, shops and transport close by. Comprising four bedrooms and three bathrooms, this was a turn-key solution for local families and attracted plenty of interest before selling at auction for an impressive $1.23 million.
Preston: 6 Mihil Street
Capturing more of the original Preston vibe, this remarkably original two-bedroom cream brick home was set on a potential-laden 726sqm of land. A mix of keen renovators, local builders and developers all showed interest in this one, with a highly competitive auction soaring close to $100,000 above our happy vendor’s reserve before the gavel fell at $1.101 million!
Preston 4/33 Cramer Street
As we touched on in last week's update, this intriguing two-bedroom townhouse benefitted from some productive mid-week negotiations, with the SOLD sign going up at a very satisfying $651,000.
The good news for anyone planning on making a move in a strong seller’s market, even if you are planning on doing so early in the new year, is that the outlook seems very positive indeed. So don’t hesitate to give us a call this week at at Barry Plant Northcote and Preston.
