More smiles as 100% Auction record continues
Our run of recent strong auction results in the Darebin property market continued today with another strong result being achieved for our vendors.
Today’s auction involved a modern two-bedroom, two-bathroom townhouse located directly opposite Ruthven Reserve on Donald Street, Preston. This property offered a low maintenance lifestyle with the added bonus of having its own driveway and street frontage.
Many buyers commented on the way that the smooth flowing layout maximized natural light. Others liked the clean, crisp setting along with an obvious abundance of flexibility due in no small part to a floorplan which offered a bedroom on each level, as well as a compact study area.
As you can see from the photo, the buyers were more than happy to bring their house-hunting weekends to a conclusion, (who knows what they’ll be up to next weekend), whilst the vendors were equally pleased to a see a successful conclusion to their property marketing campaign, which ended with today’s satisfying sale at $600,000.
Results like these are a reflection not only of the appeal of low maintenance living in Melbourne’s inner north, but also of the growing impact that the recent introduction of additional incentives for first home buyers is having on our market.
Don’t underestimate the impact that these changes have had since July 1st. People tend to overlook the fact that activity in the first home buyer price range has a ‘flow-through’ effect as those who sell to first home buyers then become buyers in their own right, usually in the higher price brackets.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and if you need any advice or assistance on any property matter, don’t hesitate to give us a call.
